These Stamps Hail The Skylab Missions In 13 Awesome WaysS

NASA launched the unmanned Skylab-1 into orbit by a Saturn V booster 40 years ago today, on May 14, 1973, from Kennedy Space Center. It was the United States's first foray into significant scientific research in microgravity.

The following three Skylab crews proved humans could live and work effectively for long durations in space, and the knowledge gathered during these missions helped in development and construction of the International Space Station. These stamps from all around the world commemorate the Skylab and the nine NASA astronauts of the mission.
